Managing Director and Senior Engineer

  • I am a qualified Structural Engineer who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil & Construction) from Curtin University. Working as a factory hand/tradesman’s assistant specialising in supply of screw conveyors/augers in the mining sector during my teenage years, it was almost fateful that my specialty skillset surrounding steel structures came to the forefront in my first graduate engineer position. Working predominantly in residential framing systems for Light Gauge Steel and other timber hybrid and insulated panel structures in my early career stage, I quickly excelled in shop detailing, implementation of engineering design efficiencies and lightweight practical solutions.

    Due to my strong customer focus and ability to lead I was moved into management where I created a strong vibrant team delivering both residential and commercial solutions. This entailed certified structural member designs and shop detail drawings for builders and fabricators alike. Detached dwellings, multi unit developments, mining camps, child care centres and multi-level apartments were all commonly catered for and delivered.

    I attained Chartered Engineer status (MIEAust CPEng) and National Engineer Registration (NER) in 2015 with Engineers Australia and hold subsequent State-based registrations in QLD (RPEQ), NSW (BPB), VIC (PE) and WA, ensuring I can deliver project certification in any environment with proven technical efficiency and demonstrated competencies.

Senior Structural Engineer

  • I am a Senior Structural Engineer who graduated with Honors in Civil and Construction Engineering from Curtin University. With over 21 years of structural engineering, drafting and leadership experience, I understand structural engineering from conception phase to completion, with a high level of technical and detailing ability to deliver the most cost effective and practical engineering solutions. I am experienced in the design of cold-formed steel, hot rolled steel, timber, and concrete with the focus on light gauge steel framing design of residential project to low-rise apartments. I have been responsible for infill wall and ceiling design in high-rise structures, commercial, modular and transportable projects, composite structures, prefabricated construction, retaining structures, technical design reports and numerous others.

    I have completed a multitude of engineering designs of small, medium to large building projects with a high level of complexity and standards across Victoria, WA and NSW.

  • With 18 years of drafting experience, working for Residential Project Builders, Engineering Firms, Transportable Builders and Commercial Builders, I have developed a keen eye for detail, design, and construction. All of my combined experiences made the transition into the Light Gauge Space seamless. My passion is residential design therefore by being in this space I feel I get to experience the best of both worlds, creating cost effective, buildable steel designs, while ensuring they’re structurally sound.
